Trevor Banks is a documentary and commercial director & editor. His documentary work includes intimate portraits of subjects within music and sports. He has worked alongside Nike, NYCFC, New Balance, Firelight Media, Wax Poetics, Boiler Room, Slate and AJ+. Trevor’s short films Racing Against BRCA, DJ Seinfeld: Time Spent in NYC and Pierre Kwenders Live at The Apollo, have screened at the New York City Independent Film Festival, been featured on Four Four Mag and premiered on TIDAL. A graduate of Old Dominion University and recipient of the student filmmaker award in 2009. Trevor is a Creative Partner at Brooklyn based production company, CMMN CNTRL. His debut feature length documentary, Give The Drummer Some, is currently in production and was a selection at the DOC NYC Live Pitch and Brooklyn Film Festival Exchange. He moonlights as a DJ in Brooklyn and curates monthly mix shows on London based Balamii Radio.
